 Klein: George, passed away peacefully Sept. 6th, 1997. Born August 5th, 1903 in Chernotsy, Romania. Predeceased by his wife Julia in 1982 and son Karl in 1992. Survived by a daughter Rosemary Laface, five grandchildren, sister Anna Otterbritt (might this be Ottenbreitt) of Pitt Meadows. Internment to take place in his hometown of Kelowna, B.c. Parksville , B.C.
 LANG--It is with great sadness the family announces the sudden passing of Jerry John (Gary) Lang, on Wednesday, September 23, 1998, at the age of 52 years. Gary was born in Grayson, SK on September 9, 1946. Gary was a loyal employee of Westons Bakery for thirty-two years. In his leisure time he took great pleasure in camping, fishing, traveling and boating. Gary was always willing to lend a helping hand. Gary was predeceased by his mother Mary Lang; brother Frank Lang; brother-in-law Siegfried Sawatzki; father-in-law George Mengel; nephew Jeff Mengel and brother-in-law Harvey Thauberger. He is survived by his wife Joan; children and grandchildren: Kent, Kirk (Tracey), Chantelle, Carla (Devin), Taylor Stubel; his father Frank Lang; brothers and sisters: Wilfred (Terry), Joe (Judy), Al (Marg), Irene (Tom) Matsyk, Gloria (Gerald) Mengel, Mary Ann (Karsten) Frederiksen; sister-in-law Iris Lang; mother-in-law Loretta engel; sister-in-law Jeanette Thauberger; brother-in-law Gord Mengel; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass will be held Monday, September 28, 1998 at 10:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart R.C. Church, 1380 Elphinstone Street, Regina, with Rev. Michael Fahlman presiding.  ZUK, Anne On July 5, 1998, Mrs. Anne Zuk of Mundare, Alberta, passed away at the age of 71 years. Survived by her loving family, three daughters, Sharon (Ole) Rannaoja of Surrey, B.C.; twin daughters, Cheryl (Randy) Dmytryk, and Charlene (Eric) Kropielnicki all of Mundare; seven grandchildren, Kimberly, Kendall and Kolin, Krystal and Derrick, Travis and Tanya; one half-brother, Tony (Mary) Basaraba of Edmonton. Predeceased by her husband, Michael in July, 1988; parents, Mike and Mary; one sister, Rose; one half-sister, Victoria. Prayer Service will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 1998 at 7:30 p.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church in Mundare, where the Divine Liturgy will be held on Thursday, July 9, 1998 at 10:00 a.m. with Basilian Fathers officiating.  HORNING--Rose (Amaniuk) on Saturday July 11, 1998 passed away at the age of 76 years. Born May 26, 1922 at Eagle Point, SK. Predeceased by her husband Cecil, parents and other family members. Survived by brothers: John, Bill and sister Rita; nephews Jim and Dick Stellek and their families. Remains will be taken to Edmonton where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband Cecile.  Clara M. Koepke Monday, April 6, 1998 Blue Hill resident Clara M. (Ernst) Koepke, 88, died Monday, April 6, 1998, at Blue Hill Care Center in Blue Hill. Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blue Hill with the Rev. Robert Seible officiating. Burial will be in Blue Hill Cemetery. Merten-Butler Mortuary of Blue Hill is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Koepke was born Aug. 10, 1909, to the Rev. Louis and Marie (Kasper) Ernst in Blue Hill. She graduated from Blue Hill High School. She taught at Trinity Lutheran School. On July 17, 1932, she married Wilfred Koepke. They farmed northwest of Blue Hill until her husband's death Dec. 26, 1941. She moved into Blue Hill. She operated a cream station and was a bookkeeper at the Corner's Ford Garage. In 1956 she became a receptionist and bookkeeper at the Blue Hill Clinic. She retired at age 75. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid, church choir and Lutheran Women's Missionary League. She was a member of the Blue Hill Senior Citizens. Survivors are two sons, Jim of Aurora and Jerry of Blue Hill; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by 13 siblings. Memorials may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church or Blue Hill Care.
 Keith Koepke Wednesday, Dec. 24, 1997 Hastings native Keith Koepke, 53, of Rancho Bernardo, Calif., died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 1997, in Rancho Bernardo. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Rancho Bernardo Community Presbyterian Church. The remains were cremated. Mr. Koepke was born Jan. 30, 1944, to Howard M. and Harriet (Borley) Koepke in Hastings. He graduated from the University of Nebraska with a degree in business administration in 1966. He was a member of Rancho Bernardo Presbyterian Church. Survivors are his wife, Rosalind Chang Koepke of Rancho Bernardo; one son, Michael Alan of Rancho Bernardo; his mother of Hastings; one brother, Alan W. of Walnut Creek, Calif.; and one sister, Kay M. Cole of Lincoln. He was preceded in death by his father.  Fred A. Dietrich Fred A. Dietrich, 64, devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend, died unexpectedly on June 10, 1998. He has gone to be with the Lord. He was born September 27, 1933 in Mandan, ND, to Roy and Emma (Ripplinger) Dietrich. The family moved to Tacoma in 1942. He served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict. He moved to Sumner in 1962 and was a store director for Holiday Foods and for Thriftway. He belonged to the Retail Clerks Union until his retirement in 1997. Fred was introduced to his wife, Dolores Kelly Dietrich, by his best friends and Dee's cousins, Ron and Bob Morris. They were married in 1962 and remained devoted to one another for 36 years. Fred was a former member of Rotary and a member of the Puyallup Elks Lodge for 37 years. He was an elected commissioner of Pierce County Drainage District 11, and an active member of St. Andrew Catholic Church. Fred is survived by his wife, Dee, of Sumner and his mother, Emma, of Tacoma; his daughter, Kelly Walker and husband Mark, son Bob and wife Becky, son Tom and wife Melissa, and daughter Anne. Fred was a devoted "Poppy" to his four grandchildren, Meghan, Blake, Kindra and Christa. He is also survived by his sisters, Kay Casteel, Vi Honeysett, MaryAnn Honeysett, Diane Berry, and brothers Fran Dietrich and Gene Dietrich. He was preceded in death by his father, Roy, and sister Jenny. His caring, loving and outgoing personality will be missed by all who knew him. Arrangements by Powers Funeral Home, Puyallup. Vigil Service will be at 7:00 pm Sunday, June 14 at Powers Chapel, Puyallup. Funeral Mass will be at 2:00 pm Monday, June 15 at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Sumner.  Rose L. Croxton, 86, of Medford, died Thursday (Oct. 29, 1998) at Three Fountains Nursing Center. A memorial service will be held later. She was born Rose Zimmerman on Feb. 29, 1912, in Bogopol, Ukraine, Russia. She grew up in Odessa, Russia, where she was separated from her family during the Bolshevik Revolution. Later she and her sister were reunited with their mother in Shanghai, China, and they lived together there for several years. On March 17, 1931, she married Victor H. Croxton, who was serving in the U.S. Navy in Nanking, China. Mr. Croxton died in 1980. The Croxtons moved to Sams Valley in 1956 from Los Altos, Calif. They were active members of Sams Valley Grange for many years. During her husband's 27-year military career she set up homes in many cities. She enjoyed cooking, reading and knitting. Survivors include two sons, Ronald, Medford, and Michael, Toledo, Wash.; three daughters, Gloria Strickland and Alyce Kunze, both Medford, and Betty Hill, Sandpoint, Idaho; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. A sister, Elizabeth Kessel, preceded her in death. Arrangements: Abbey Funeral, Medford.

She is survived by her four children: daughter, Sandra; sons, Greg (Barbara) and Barry, and daughter, Shelley (Todd) Page; grandchildren: Alexandra and Christopher Ruhr and Mason Page; mother, Emma Hoffman; brother, Allan (Audrey) Hoffman; sister-in-law, Florence Hoffman as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 17, 1998 at 7:30 p.m. at Holy Trinity R.C. Church, 5020 Sherwood Dr., Regina, Sask. with Very Rev. Ken Miller, V.G., celebrating.
